Deception Falls

on

If you’re looking for the perfect rest stop on Steven’s Pass, look no further than Deception Falls. You will find rustic bathrooms and also a lovely covered picnic area that also has BBQs. This is a great place to stop, have a little picnic lunch, refresh, and explore Deception Falls. The trailhead to the falls can be found at the Eastern edge of the parking lot and the viewing area is only a few hundred feet down a well manicured path.

You will also find a half mile or more of nature trails. A quarter mile of these trails are ADA accessible. This pit stop also has a rich history. Not far from here the final spike uniting the transcontinental Great Northern Railway was driven. This occurred on January 6, 1893 at 11:30pm.  This linked commerce and industry across the United States. It opened the doors for trade and transportation from sea to shining sea.
